Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (45g) Old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup (240ml) Unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/8 tsp (0.75g) Fine sea salt
  • 2 tbsp (32g) Creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp (1g) Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 Banana, sliced
  • 1 tsp (5g) Chia seeds

Instructions:

  1. Combine the rolled oats, almond milk, salt, and chia seeds in a small saucepan or a medium microwave-safe ceramic bowl.
  2. If using a saucepan, bring to a light boil over medium heat. If using a microwave, heat on high for 2 minutes. Stir occasionally until the liquid is mostly absorbed and the mixture is thick and bubbling.
  3. Remove from heat immediately and fold in the peanut butter, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir vigorously for 30 seconds to emulsify the fats into the oats.
  4. Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and garnish with sliced bananas.
