Cheesecake Crescent Roll Casserole
Creamy Cheesecake Crescent Roll Casserole with a Buttery Cinnamon-Sugar Topping
Ingredients:
2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, sealing the seams together to form a solid layer.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough in the baking dish.
Assemble the Casserole:
Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cream cheese layer, gently stretching it to cover the filling and sealing the seams as much as possible.
Pour the melted butter evenly over the top layer of crescent roll dough.
In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar with the ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the melted butter.
Bake and Serve:
Bake the casserole for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
Allow the casserole to cool slightly before cutting it into squares and serving.
