Ingredients:

  • 900g fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 12g granulated sugar
  • 225ml Media Crema
  • 396g sweetened condensed milk
  • 113g full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 240ml sour cream or Mexican crema agria
  • 10ml Mexican vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly in cold water and pat them completely dry with a paper towel to prevent thinning the sauce.
  2. Hull the stems and slice the strawberries into quarters or thick rounds. Optionally toss with 1 tablespoon of sugar if berries are tart.
  3. In a blender or using a hand mixer in a large glass bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, media crema, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
  4. Blend on medium-high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and forms a thick ribbon when the whisk or blade is lifted.
  5. Place the sliced strawberries into a serving bowl and pour the thickened cream mixture over the fruit, folding gently to coat.
