  • 2 Tbsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Dry Mustard Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Measure all spices, salt, and sugars accurately according to the ingredient list.
  2. Place the brown sugar, salt, smoked paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder into the large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the dry mustard powder, ground cumin, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Using a whisk or spoon, vigorously combine all ingredients until the blend is homogeneous. The goal is to break up any lumps in the brown sugar and ensure the finer spices are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  5. Transfer the finished Rib Rub into a clean, airtight glass jar or container. For best flavor, allow the rub to rest for at least one hour before using.
