Ingredients:
- 4 oz strong hot coffee
- 1.5 oz Irish whiskey
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 oz heavy whipping cream
- 1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg
Instructions:
- Fill your glass with boiling water and let it sit for 60 seconds to temper the vessel. Discard the water and pat the glass dry.
- Add the brown sugar to the glass followed by the hot coffee. Stir vigorously until the sugar is completely dissolved, then stir in the Irish whiskey.
- Pour the cold heavy cream into a small jam jar and shake for 15–20 seconds until thickened to a pourable consistency, but not to stiff peaks.
- Place a bar spoon upside down over the coffee with the tip touching the surface. Slowly pour the cream over the back of the spoon to create a distinct layer.
