Ingredients:
- 4.5 oz jarred dried beef, sliced into ribbons
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2.5 cups whole milk, room temperature
- 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce

- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Take the 4.5 oz jarred dried beef and slice it into thin, 1/4 inch ribbons.
- Place 4 tbsp unsalted butter in your skillet over medium heat until it sizzles and stops foaming.

- Slowly pour in 2.5 cups whole milk (room temperature) while whisking vigorously.
- Continue whisking over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and begins to bubble gently.
- Fold in the beef ribbons.
- Stir in 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper, 1 pinch ground nutmeg, and 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce.
- While the gravy simmers on low, toast 6 slices sourdough bread until golden brown and firm.
- Spoon the warm creamed beef generously over the toast.
- Sprinkle 1 tbsp fresh parsley over the top until the green pops against the white sauce.
