Ingredients:

  • 5 fl oz (45 ml) Vodka
  • 0 fl oz (60 ml) Pineapple Juice, chilled
  • 5 fl oz (15 ml) Chambord or quality black raspberry liqueur
  • Ice (enough to fill shaker 2/3 full)
  • 1 fresh raspberry or 1 lemon twist (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Glass: Place the martini or coupe glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail. Just before pouring, empty the glass completely.
  2. Measure and Combine: Pour the measured amounts of Vodka (1.5 oz), Pineapple Juice (2.0 oz), and Chambord (0.5 oz) directly into the cocktail shaker tin.
  3. Add Ice: Fill the shaker two-thirds full with fresh, solid ice cubes.
  4. Shake Vigorously: Secure the lid tightly and shake hard for 15 to 20 seconds. This vigorous action chills the drink perfectly and froths the pineapple juice, creating a velvety head.
  5. Strain: Hold the cocktail strainer over the tin and pour the liquid, preferably through a fine-mesh strainer (double strain), directly into the chilled glass.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a single fresh raspberry or express the oils from a lemon twist over the drink and drop the peel in.
