2 lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
2 teaspoons Cumin
2 teaspoons Paprika
1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
1 teaspoon Turmeric
½ teaspoon Dried Oregano
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Ground Cardamom
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Pepper
¼ cup Olive Oil
3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
3 teaspoons Garlic, minced
Directions:
Place the chicken in a sealable plastic bag and set aside.
In a small bowl, combine cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, oregano, cardamom, salt, and pepper to create the shawarma seasoning.
In another bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, and minced garlic to make the marinade. Pour the marinade over the chicken in the bag, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour or overnight for maximum flavor.
Preheat a grill over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until juices run clear and the meat is fully cooked.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy the aromatic flavors of homemade chicken shawarma!
