Chicken Picnic Pie
Ingredients:
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped spinach
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 egg, for egg wash
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped spinach, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 9 squares. Place a tablespoon of the chicken mixture into the center of each square.
Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle and press the edges to seal. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
Beat the egg and brush over the top of each pastry pocket. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and puffed.
Serve warm, perfect for picnics or as a tasty snack.
