People left shocked after Jeff Bezos and fiancée Lauren Sanchez described their ‘pretty normal’ typical day

How does a multibillionaire and his fiancée live their day-to-day lives?

No, this isn’t the start to a corny dad joke, but a genuine question Lauren Sanchez (Jeff Bezos‘ betrothed) was asked.

If I had a net worth of $223.5 billion dollars like the Amazon founder, it’s safe to say I would not be rushing out of bed in the morning.

After eventually getting up, I’d leisurely roam around my mansion in a silk dressing gown and ask one of my members of staff to cook me up a delicious breakfast, before I went and did a workout in my home gym.

While my expectations of how a super rich person would start their day are very high, Sanchez insists that her and Bezos’ lives are ‘pretty normal’.

Chatting to Vogue back in 2023, the author and philanthropist said: “Our lives are pretty normal. Daily life mostly revolves around our kids.”

Giving some more insight into the celebrity pair’s routine and an unwritten rule she has with Bezos, Sanchez shared: “Whoever gets up first, that person makes the other person coffee.”

Sounds fair to me.

“We try not to get on our phones right away,” she continued. “That’s what I’m working on.”

Sanchez added that the family eat together every night without fail — that’s after her kids’ piano and tutoring lessons, of course.

While some of Sanchez’s kids still live at home, all of Bezos’ children are at college.

The article sparked some backlash, as some suggested that the Bezos was ‘cosplaying as a working class stiff’.

Others on Reddit noted that it’s quite the luxury to be able to host a family dinner on a daily basis.

Someone raged: “You know what got me f**ked up reading that article? That they have the luxury of family dinner every night together and home cooked meals. […] A lot of families are lucky to have one day off per week all together.”

Away from their supposedly ‘normal’ lives, Sanchez and Bezos were reportedly planning a $600,000,000 wedding.

Bezos has since denied these reports, but with his staggering net worth in mind, his nuptials to Sanchez is likely to be a very lavish affair.

The Amazon founder popped the question in May 2023 with a multimillion-dollar ring, and it’s thought that the pair may finally tie the knot this summer, Hello! reports.

Jeff Bezos’ fiancée reveals the one thing ‘people don’t really know’ about him

Lauren Sánchez claimed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was ‘extremely focused’ on on the pursuit

Lauren Sánchez claims there’s another side to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos that ‘people don’t really know’ about.

As per Forbes, 60-year-old Bezos is considered the second-richest man on the planet due to his estimated $197 billion net worth.

Famously known for launching Amazon in 1994, the Albuquerque-born businessman is also responsible for launching spaceflight company Blue Origin and for purchasing The Washington Post in 2013.

Despite his overflowing business portfolio, his wife-to-be claims he remains ‘extremely focused’ on carving out time for his philanthropy efforts.

In a new interview with Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria, 49, for the Hollywood Reporter, Sánchez, 54, said it was ‘crazy’ that ‘people don’t really know about’ one aspect of Bezos’ work that helps contribute ‘to a better world’.

And that’s his charity work.

“Jeff is extremely focused, as you can imagine,” Sánchez told her friend of 20 years.

According to the journalist, the couple chooses to work with organizations addressing ‘urgent issues’ as well as those who have outlined a ‘clear, impactful plan for making a difference’.

One of these is Mary’s Place – a charity empowering homeless women and children to reclaim their lives.

“It really focuses on temporary homeless families, which a lot of times are mothers who may be in an abusive relationship and need to keep their kids and go,” Sánchez explained.

“And one thing that Jeff did with Mary’s Place is he put the homeless shelter inside Amazon’s offices in Seattle which is incredible. I know.”

As well as partnering with the homeless charity, the father-of-four primarily does his charity work through his Day 1 Families Fund and the Bezos Earth Fund.

The former was founded in 2018 with his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott while the latter was launched with a skeleton team just four years ago.

According to the Bezos Earth Fund website, the charity was created in 2020 with the goal of ‘combatting the climate crisis and driving a nature-positive future’.

It aims to fully disburse the founder’s $10 billion commitment by 2030 and has already awarded $100 million to the World Wildlife Fund.

Moreover, Bezos and Sánchez annually collaborate to distribute the Courage and Civility Award.

Previous recipients include political analyst Van Jones, restauranter José Andrés and Dolly Parton.

This year, the $100 million lump sum is being shared between Longoria and Bill McRaven.

Lauren Sánchez has revealed the one thing they never do during their mornings together

Lauren Sánchez has revealed her morning routine with Amazon founder and fiancé, Jeff Bezos.

Sánchez has spoken about their daily life, explaining what they get up to during their mornings together and revealing the one thing they try not to do.

With Bezos having a net worth of almost $190 billion dollars, it’s hard to imagine that he’d have a pretty normal daily life.

The Amazon founder created the site back in 1994 where he worked out of a garage on what was initially a virtual bookstore.

By 2005, however, it was selling all sorts, including electronics, videos, and hardware.

Although it didn’t make any profit at first, we now know that Amazon currently has a market worth of over a trillion dollars.

Forbes estimates that Bezos himself has a net worth of approximately $204.3 billion – so how does a billionaire spend their morning?

While, of course, Bezos and Sánchez are super busy people, it seems they try to keep much of their life pretty ‘normal’.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Sánchez explained what their mornings look like, explaining: “I make myself a cup of coffee.

“I make Jeff a cup of coffee, and we kind of have this magic moment where it’s just us talking.”

Apparently, Bezos doesn’t check his phone immediately after waking, either.

“He definitely made that rule,” she added.

“It wasn’t me. But the mornings are just us for as long as we can.”

Sánchez previously explained that the pair also have a pact in which whoever wakes up first in the morning has to make the first coffee.

They also workout together, with Sánchez claiming Bezos is a ‘monster in the gym’.

And at the end of the day, the family also eat dinner together every night, too.

Sánchez previously told Vogue that the pair have ‘pretty normal lives’ adding that a lot of it fits around their children and their schedules.

“Our lives are pretty normal,” she told Vogue last year. “Daily life mostly revolves around our kids.”

Bezos shares four children with his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, while Sánchez has two kids with her former husband Patrick Whitesell and a son with her ex partner Tony Gonzalez.

According to Sánchez’s eldest child Nikko, 23, it’s hard to beat Bezos at chess.

He added to Vogue of their blended families: “Everyone really just gets along. There’s no real alliances. It’s kind of boring in that way.”

Amazon employee given life-changing offer after Jeff Bezos responded to their email

Jeff Bezos’ Amazon email has actually responded to some people and one interaction was not only life-changing but potentially life-saving

Turns out Jeff Bezos’ Amazon email is available on the internet and there’s been several instances where it’s actually replied to people.

You’d think it would be pretty hard to get in touch with someone as high powered as Amazon chairman Jeff Bezos, but apparently his work email is just out there on the internet for all to see.

And not only that, but it’s not like most other high status celeb’s contact information – which if you ever do try and reach out the message just ends up in the world wide web abyss – because reports have come in that Bezos’ email account actually responds. And one communication in particular proved life-changing – but also potentially life-saving – for someone who was actually one of Amazon’s employees.

Reddit user called u/Upnorth4 took to thread r/AmazonFC to question whether anyone has ever ‘tried emailing Jeff@Amazon.com about anything’?

“And did they actually resolve you issue?” They continued.

And it didn’t take long for people to flood to the thread, with some pretty surprising and heart-warming answers about experiences they’d heard where people had emailed and received a response.

One user u/Teardrop_Alice revealed: “My roommate who is a packer emailed him cause of how unsafe the conveyors were at the time, like totes and random bolts falling on people. She got an email back from a lady high up saying she was going to bring it up with her center.

“A week later my roommate was asked to join the safety team and talk about her concerns.”

And the instances don’t stop there either, another user u/Delta080 revealing a co-worker of his went on a leave of absence when his mom passed away.

“He kind of fell thru the cracks and was on leave for WAY longer than what is allowed,” the user continued. “Nobody ever followed up with him and it’s almost like he was just forgotten. When he decided he wanted to end his Leave Of Absence (LOA), HR tried telling him that he should’ve been told like a year earlier that he either needed to return from LOA or he would lose his job, and therefore they weren’t going to allow him to end his LOA and he was effectively being fired.”

So, the employee emailed Jeff and ‘one of the staffers that monitors Jeff’s e-mail called him back and apologized for everything he went through with his mom and told him that he would get him back to work ASAP’.

And that’s not all.

The user continued: “Within 15 minutes of that call ending HR called him and told him that he can return again to the same schedule he had prior to going on his LOA and to return on his next scheduled shift, and to please stop by HR when he returns so they can properly welcome him back and get him reacclimatized to everything.

“The GM was waiting for him at the HR desk to welcome him back that day and greeted him by ‘Mr Last Name, welcome back, please let me know if there is anything you need from me.’”

Jeff Bezos uses bizarre two-pizza rule to stop Amazon employees from time-wasting

Don’t even think about ordering a third if you want to stay in Jeff Bezos’ good books

Amazon has a two-pizza per team rule. And no, it isn’t because Jeff Bezos can’t afford any more.

It’s actually because of a rule put into place by the founder himself – and I’m sure you have questions.

Does the two pizza rule take factors like toppings, crust type, or pizza size into consideration? Are people limited to a certain amount of slices?

All very important details to debilitate over, but while we can’t tell you what exactly these pizzas entail, we can tell you that the rule has often been described as one of the billionaire CEO’s many ‘keys’ to success.

It’s actually quite simple — the theory goes that every team at Amazon should be small enough that it can only be fed with two pizzas, supposedly to help ensure a team’s maximum efficiency.

It’s particularly used across Amazon’s Web Services, and the logic goes that a smaller team is more likely to stay focused, have a clearer idea of what they’re supposed to do each day, and waste less time in meetings by virtue of always being in contact with each other.

According to an actual website by Amazon’s Web Services that details the ins and outs of the pizza rule, a smaller team can also lead to an increase in individual productivity. This means you’re less likely to rely on your teammates throughout the day and more so on yourself to be the best, most productive version of yourself to get the work done each day.

Now you’re probably asking yourself — how many people do two pizzas actually feed?

Well, apparently these teams consist of ten people or less.

If a team ever starts growing beyond that, Amazon will create a whole other two-pizza team with a different objective to ensure that everyone stays lazer-focused.

All of this is an effort to ensure that each team spends more time with customers, knowing exactly what they need and how to improve Amazon’s services on their behalf.
