A Congressman has faced a bit of a backlash online after revealing his plans to have a Donald Trump dollar bill.
With Donald Trump back in the White House, many Republicans in politics have been singing his praises.
The controversial president has certainly won over South Carolina representative Joe Wilson.
On February 25, Wilson took to Twitter to reveal an image of what a $250 bill with Trump’s face on it could look like and said he was taking steps to see that it became a reality.
The bill is the usual green, with the image of Trump in full color.
He wrote: “Grateful to announce that I am drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Donald J. Trump.

“Bidenflation has destroyed the economy forcing American families to carry more cash. Most valuable bill for most valuable President!”
While Wilson was likely expecting support from his followers, many were critical of this move and questioned whether this should be high up on his agenda.
One user wrote: “Really? I voted for Trump, but isn’t there more pressing issues at hand?”

Another referenced Elon Musk’s ultimatum calling for federal employees to reveal five tasks they got done this week and commented: “Did you fill out the 5 things you did last week? If this is on your agenda, it would seem you are expendable.”
With a third adding: “Starting to think this is a parody account. You think we carry $250 around? You are out of touch Joe.”
And a less-than-impressed user commented: “Great idea! Now we have a large enough bill to pay for a single carton of eggs.

“Way things are going, in a month you will have to make a $470 bill.”
And another simply put: “How does this fix any of America’s problems? Now get to work on actual important stuff Joe!”
In a follow-up post, Wilson appeared undeterred and shared a page of the bill, adding: “Grateful to introduce the DONALD J. TRUMP $250 BILL ACT. This big beautiful bill will honor the 250th birthday of America and our most valuable President Donald J. Trump!
“Thank you to cosponsors @RepHarshbarger @RepRalphNorman @repdarrellissa. GOD BLESS AMERICA.”
And despite his enthusiasm more critical comments followed this post. Let’s just see if this bill get any legs, couldn’t hurt to have some Trumps in your back pocket.

President Donald Trump’s dream of buying Greenland has been given a boost after legislation has been drawn up and brought to Congress.
The Trump administration’s expansionist agenda has been on full display since the Republicans reclaimed the Oval Office less than month ago (January 20).

The 78-year-old has officially renamed the Gulf of Mexico the ‘Gulf of America’, revealed plans to reclaim the Panama Canal, urged Canada to be the 51st state of America, and has shown intent to ‘take over’ Gaza displacing all Palestinians.
We’re already aware of his aspiration to purchase Greenland, even having a fiery phone call with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen – which reportedly sent officials into crisis mode.
Of course, Greenland has been part of the Danish Kingdom since it was colonized back in the 18th century – and was seen as only a colony until 1953 when it was redefined as a district of Denmark.
So, what’s the latest update then?
Well, it has come through Republican Congressman Buddy Carter, a representative of Georgia, who introduced legislation last week to allow Trump to speak with Greenland and Denmark about the possibility of acquiring the autonomous country.

Carter released the following statement: “America is back and will soon be bigger than ever with the addition of Red, White, and Blueland.”
Yes, Trump plans on renaming Greenland ‘Red, White and Blueland’… I’m not sure how its natives would feel about the name change.
He continued: “President Trump has correctly identified the purchase of what is now Greenland as a national security priority, and we will proudly welcome its people to join the freest nation to ever exist when our Negotiator-in-Chief inks this monumental deal.”
The bill introduced by Carter has been referred to the committee.
“To authorize the President to enter into negotiations to acquire Greenland and to rename Greenland as ‘Red, White, and Blueland,'” it read.

Trump has previously stated that those who call the world’s largest island home, its 57,000 residents, wish to be part of the US.
Speaking to reporters last month, he doubled down with some blunt remarks: “I think we’re going to have it.
“I think the people want to be with us.
“I don’t really know what claim Denmark has to it, but it would be a very unfriendly act if they didn’t allow that to happen because it’s for the protection of the free world.”
He continued: “I think Greenland we’ll get because it has to do with freedom of the world.
“It has nothing to do with the United States other than that we’re the one that can provide the freedom. They can’t.”
A Democratic Party strategist has made a bold prediction that Donald Trump’s administration will ‘collapse’ pretty soon.
The infamous political consultant, James Carville, has made a bold suggestion that the president’s White House team will fall in a matter of weeks as a consequence of Trump’s recent actions.
The 80-year-old author said the downfall will come as Trump’s approval numbers continue to plummet – as the president fired thousands of government officials and signed off on several controversial executive orders within his first month in office.
Meanwhile, his ‘First Buddy’, Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is tasked with cutting federal spending, which has sparked concern across the country.

These moves could cause the US economy to spiral, and tempt Republicans to cross over while Democrats can sit back and watch it unfold, Carville claimed.
Speaking to Mediaite’s Dan Abrams, he said: “Democrats need to play possum. This whole thing is collapsing.”
He referred to a poll that suggested Trump’s approval ratings dropped from the low 50s to the upper 30s and went on to say it would take ‘less than 30 days’ for the administration to crumble.
In fact, he said public opinion has already started and the Trump administration is already in the ‘midst’ of falling.

He added: “We’re in the midst of a collapse. This is the lowest approval—not even close—that any president has ever had at a comparable time.”
Carville went on to say Democrats should ‘hold your fire’ and that it’s going to be ‘easy pickings’ in six weeks.
“Just lay back,” he added. “It’s going to happen quickly.”
The strategist’s analysis comes as Trump recently criticized Carville for questioning Fox News’ facts when it came to the president’s popularity.
On Sean Hannity’s show, Carville had said: “I’m reading these polls saying the Democrats are 13 points up in the congressional generic, that Donald Trump has the lowest approval rating of any president at this point in his presidency in American history.
“So, your viewers are getting one view. And I’m reading another view. One of us is right and one of us is wrong. It’s that simple. Have they got fact checkers at Fox?”
Taking to his own social media platform, Truth Social, the President hit back saying he had the ‘best polling numbers’ he’s ever had before calling Carville a ‘loser’.
“The Democrats, run by broken down losers like James Carville, whose weak of mind and body, are going crazy, and just don’t know what to do,” Trump wrote. “They have lost their confidence and spirit – They have lost their minds!”
The president has revealed plans to sell $5,000,000 ‘Gold Card’ visas to migrants.
Donald Trump is reportedly reviewing plans to launch a ‘gold card’ visa, which would grant wealthy immigrants the chance to work in the United States.
The visa route would even offer the migrants a fast-track to US citizenship.
However, it’s not cheap, coming in at $5 million dollars per applicant.
The president has said the ‘gold card’ would replace the current EB-5 visa route and be exclusive to vetted, millionaire migrants.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday (February 25), Trump said: “We’re going to be selling a gold card. You have a green card. This is a gold card.”

He revealed the gold card would be like a ‘green card privileges plus’ and ready to launch within a fortnight.
The 78-year-old also teased it would offer a unique ‘route to citizenship’ that as ‘never been done before,’ adding: “They’ll be wealthy and they’ll be successful, and they’ll be spending a lot of money and paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people, and we think it’s going to be extremely successful.”
US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick dubbed the option the ‘Trump gold card’ and slammed the current EB-5 visa as ‘full of nonsense and make-believe fraud.’
The EB-5 visa costs around $20,000 and stipulates overseas investors have to invest around a million dollars into a US company.
“We’re going to end the EB-5 program and we’re going to replace it with the Trump gold card,” he said.
Lutnick further revealed the ‘gold card’ will be reserved for ‘wonderful world-class global citizens’ and would go towards tackling the federal deficit.

The White House team predict the program could raise $55 trillion in revenue and attract affluent foreign investors to the states.
“You’re getting big taxpayers, big job producers, and we’ll be able to sell maybe a million of these cards, maybe more than that,” Trump continued. “It could be great, maybe it will be fantastic.”
The president claimed the loop-hole doesn’t need Congress approval, either.
“We don’t need Congress … It’s a path to citizenship, a very strong path to citizenship, but we’re not doing citizenship. For that I’d have to get Congress,” he said.
It would also be open to foreign investors from around the world, meaning it would be open to Russian businesspeople and oligarchs to apply for a gold card, providing they can cough up the $5 million fee.
