The sole survivor from the murder-suicide that saw three girls as young as two shot dead has tragically passed away.

After five days battling an unimaginable gunshot wound to the head, seven-year-old Olivia Blackmer died on Saturday afternoon (February 15). Her 32-year-old mother Tranyelle Harshman was the one who shot her and her sisters before she took her own life.

Little Olivia is the last of the girls to die at the hands of her mom, with her nine-year-old sister and two-year-old stepsisters passing last Monday afternoon (February 10) at the scene of the crime in Wyoming.

Taking to the GoFundMe page setup to pay for Olivia’s medical expenses, as well as for the kids’ funeral arrangements, her stepmom Katelynn Blackmer shared the devastating news.

“Olivia is with her sisters now. She gained her angel wings yesterday at 3:44pm. She fought so so hard up til the last minute! Her body and her brain had been through too much, medication helped but we reached a point where medical options were exhausted and her body only continued to get worse,” she wrote.

“She kept fighting through it all though until her heart stopped. We are grateful she hung on as long as she did so we could get some valuable time with our sweet baby girl the last five days. We want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and support for our family.

“We are in a rough spot with the tragic passing of both daughters. We took time as a family to grieve and be in the moment before letting the world know but wanted to let you all know as we are thankful for all that you have done.”

Adding: “Olivia and Brailey know how loved they were by all of us! This is going to be extremely hard, please keep our family in your prayers as we figure out how to grieve this horrific tragedy day to day.”

It comes as it was reported that Harshman dialled 911 herself at the time (February 10), to report that her four daughters had been shot, according to the local sheriff’s office.

She told the dispatcher where the girls were located in the house during the call, leading the officers to discover the bodies with gunshot wounds to their heads.

Olivia was the sole survivor at the time.

The husband of a woman who shot dead their three daughters before turning the gun on herself has spoken out.

It was reported that the Wyoming mom called 911 on Monday, 10 February afternoon to report that her four daughters had been shot, according to the local sheriff’s office.

Sadly, when officers arrived, the investigation pointed them towards 32-year-old Tranyelle Harshman as being the shooter, before she killed herself.

She told the dispatcher where the girls were located in the house during the call, leading to officers discovering the bodies with gunshot wounds to their heads.

Sadly, only the 7-year-old daughter survived the ordeal, while her three sisters aged 9, and two 2-year-olds were dead at the scene, as per MTN News.

When Harshman was found, it was determined that she was alive, but she later died from her wounds.

While the investigation continues to determine exactly what happened on that horrific day, Harshan’s husband, Cliff Harshman, told Cowboy State Daily heartbreaking information.

The dad, who has now lost three of his children stated that his wife had been receiving treatment for severe mental health issues in the lead up to her crime.

This included PTSD and postpartum depression.

“My wife is not a monster,” he said. “Most people don’t understand how that affects the brain. It’s a chemical imbalance … And it can be exacerbated by trying to fix it with medication.”

The father explained that this was a complete surprise, stating: “This is so out of character. It’s unbelievable what had happened. We’d been getting her help, and along the way something didn’t work.”

“As angry as I may be with her, I still love her — and I still lost her as well,” he said.

Cliff is the father of the two youngest children who were killed, and Quinn Blackmer is the father of the two oldest.

While the pair do not see eye to eye since Tranyelle’s divorce, the tragedy has pushed the two together to find comfort.

“I was thankful for (Blackmer),” said Cliff.

Blackmer has voiced similar sentiments amongst the tragedy which saw one of his daughters killed and the other in critical care.

At the time of the murders, Cliff was out of state for work and rushed back to his family when the news broke.

While investigations are under way, he is staying at the hotel and has been shocked by the generosity he has seen from those around him.

He explained that the hotel where he’s staying refused to take his money, and he has received donated clothes since he left his change of clothes in California.

“My support system is almost sickening to me because I hate accepting gifts,” said Cliff. “I’m so thankful for the community that I have.”

Cliff and Blackmer have two GoFundMe campaigns, one which was created by Cliff’s coworker created to support him, and another a woman created to support Olivia’s medical costs.

As for the surviving daughter, Cliff is focused on being able to see her at Salt Lake City, stating: “I can only assume this is going to be a long recovery for Olivia. Whether it’s just in the hospital, or mentally.”

After three people were found dead inside of their 21-room mansion, questions were raised about the legitimacy of an insurance policy, only to find out that there was a dark secret looming in the family.

When Rakesh Kamal, 57, his wife, Teena, 54, and their 18-year-old daughter, Arianna was found dead from gun shot wounds, it was a shock for everyone.

The uber rich family had been living in their Dover mansion and not even their family knew that the family had been facing problems.

However, a sudden change to the life insurance policy on Teena just four days before lead to the discovery of what led to their deaths.

Authorities confirmed that it was a result of a murder-suicide, with Rakesh taking the lives of his wife and daughter.

But the reason? Massive debt.

It was just days before their deaths that a fax signed by Teena was sent to the life insurance company Genworth, which requested a change to her $1.25 million life insurance policy, according to the Boston Globe.

The document changed to make Teena’s husband and daughter the primary benefactors and adding Rakesh’s brother, Manoj Kamal, as the contingent beneficiary in case either Rakesh or Arianna died.

The original policy held Rakesh as the primary benefactor, while Arianna was filed as the contingent.

A few weeks later, Manoj filed to collect the life insurance payout but was quickly stopped when Teena’s brother, Sandeep Bedi, contacted the life-insurance company to let them know how his sister and niece had died just days after the change of policy.

Now, the two brothers are locked in a lengthy battle – which opened up the awful debts Rakesh had accumulated.

When the company heard of the conflicting accounts, they decided to ask a federal court in Boston in April to decide who would be the person to receive the money.

Now, Manoj and Bedi have until August 2 to respond to the filing and battle it out.

Their choices are to settle or to drag it out.

It all began when the father racked up a debt on the $3.8 million mortgage he took out on their $4 million property and a six-figure loan from a family member, as well as numerous failed business deals.

He had loaned $500,000 from Bedi and ‘a substantial sum of money’ from his brother Manoj, two separate affidavits claim, which were viewed by the Boston Globe claim.

Not only were the family in massive debt, but also filing for bankruptcy in September 2022, which filed using Teena’s name.

Boston 25 News reported that it listed liabilities between $1 million and $10 million but the case was dismissed weeks later because the forms weren’t filed in time.

In December of that same year, the family were ordered to leave their mansion and were handed eviction papers in May 2023.

Having owed $760,000 to nTech Connect, after it loaned $550,000 to a company Rakesh operated, in 2022, the family man was getting in way over his head.

Even though he claimed that he would wire the money over, it never happened, and he instead used his widowed mother’s home in Woburn as collateral to the loan.

The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office released a Press Release detailing the details of the crime: “Preliminary results provided to investigators confirms that Teena Kamal, 54, and her daughter Arianna Kamal, 18, were victims of homicide by gunshot.

“Rakesh Kamal, 57, their husband and father respectively, died by gunshot wound consistent with being self-inflicted. The final autopsy report is likely to be completed in the coming weeks.

“While full forensic and ballistics testing of the gun have not been finalized, the firearm found with Mr. Kamal is consistent with a .40 caliber Glock 22.

“The firearm was not registered to Mr. Kamal and he was not licensed to possess it. Massachusetts State Police have contacted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives for assistance in determining the origin of the firearm. The incident remains under investigation by Dover and Massachusetts State Police.”

In 1972 Biden’s first wife, teacher Neilia Hunter Biden was killed in a car crash along with her and Joe Biden’s 13-month-old daughter, Naomi.

Beau and Hunter Biden, the couple’s other children, both survived.

The crash happened very shortly after Biden’s first election to the senate.

Biden was sworn into office at the senate for the first time at his surviving children’s bedside as they recovered.

Speaking to the families of fallen troops in 2012, Biden recalled the horrific moment, saying: “I was down in Washington hiring my staff, and I got a phone call, saying that my family had been in an accident.

“And just like you guys know, by the tone of the phone call you just knew didn’t you? I don’t know how I knew.

“But the call said my wife is dead, my daughter is dead, and I wasn’t sure how my sons were going to make it.”

Biden has since opened up further, revealing that the tragedy affected him so deeply that he even considered suicide.

He is known to be a teetotaller, having previously said that he never drank as ‘there are too many alcoholics in my family’.

Speaking during his appearance on Howard Stern’s podcast, Biden revealed that after the crushing loss of his wife and child he had considered turning to alcohol despite having never gotten drunk before.

He said: “I used to sit there and just think I’m going to take out a bottle of scotch. I’m going to just drink it and get drunk.”

The US president then went on to talk about how the loss had affected so deeply that he began having suicidal ideation.

Biden revealed: “I just thought about it, you don’t need to be crazy to commit suicide. If you’ve been to the top of the mountain, you think it’s never going to be there again.”
