Chilling audio reveals moments after heir to $287,000,000 fortune murdered his best friend

Audio of a 999 phone call was released by Welsh police after a man was convicted of murdering his best friend.

On Christmas Eve 2023, Dylan Thomas stabbed his best friend and housemate William Bush 37 times.

Thomas has stayed with his grandmother the night before the ordeal, and was driven home by her on the day in question.

He’d told her he simply needed to check on his dog, but proceeded to murder Bush instead.

Thomas, who is the grandson to multimillionaire pie company tycoon Sir Stanley Thomas, went on to deny that he murdered Bush, 23, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

The young man was tried in November 2024, and a jury took just three hours to reach their verdict.

They found Thomas guilty of murder, and he was sentenced to a minimum term of 19 years behind bars on Friday (January 24).

During his trial last year, 999 audio from a call made by Thomas was played to the court.

“I need an ambulance to my house,” he told the operator on the other end of the phone.

Meanwhile, a woman in distress was heard shouting ‘quickly, quickly’ in the background.

After sharing his address, the call handler asked if Bush was awake.

“No, no, he’s my friend,” replied Thomas.

He was then asked if Bush was breathing, to which he said: “No he’s not, he’s dead.”

In another audio clip that was played to the court, Thomas was heard telling the operator that his friend had ‘gone mental’ and he grabbed a knife because he was ‘scared for [his] life’.

“He’s gone mental, I stabbed him. I took the knife off him and it just happened really,” Thomas said.

He went on to be asked by the operator where on Bush’s body he was injured, Wales Online reported.

“Everywhere on him, I kept going and stabbed him,” Thomas said. “I didn’t stop… He stabbed me on my hands, my hands to get the knife.”

Thomas later went on to claim he was suffering from an ‘abnormality of mind’ when he carried out the attack due to psychosis and schizophrenia.

But experts found that Thomas’ schizophrenia was unlikely to have prevented him from exercising self-control, which didn’t support the 24-year-old’s defense of diminished responsibility.

“I am satisfied that as a result of your schizophrenia, your ability to form a rational judgment was impaired, albeit not the substantial level required to establish the defence of diminished responsibility,” the judge said.

Woman's chilling internet searches after lying for friend who was accused of 'breaking baby's bones'

Woman’s chilling internet searches after lying for friend who was accused of ‘breaking baby’s bones’

Cody Mort claimed to have been in the room with the baby at the time of the incident

Warning: This article contains discussions which some readers may find distressing.

A woman who attempted to cover for a friend accused of leaving his baby with ‘multiple bone fractures’ searched chilling questions online.

Cody Mort, 22, allegedly falsely told medics and police who arrived at the scene that she had witnessed the baby of her friend kick out at a television stand, while having his diaper changed.

This supposedly caused his various injuries which included a fractured left tibia, a fracture in the fourth fifth and seventh ribs and a healing fracture in the sixth rib.

However, according to the friend, Mort was not present when the injuries occurred.

The incident occurred in August 2023 when Mort was staying at the man’s home.

At Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, prosecuting Patrick Williamsons said: “The defendant rang her mother and informed her that late during the previous evening she had heard the baby crying.

“She said the following morning the baby’s was giving her concern in particular his left leg and the youngster was taken to hospital.

“At the Oldham A&E department Miss Mort said the injury has been caused by the baby kicking out at a TV unit and she stated that she had been present when it happened.

“Her mother spoke to the defendant’s father and told him what had been said by the defendant including asserting she had been present when the baby was injured. The father was angered that the friend might be responsible for the baby’s injuries.

“But in a text message the defendant said: ‘If he tells, he’s never seeing me again’.”

Mort and the man were later arrested and interviewed, with the woman explaining that he would ‘struggle’ to explain what happened so she ‘took the lead’ when he was questioned about the injuries.

However, when police learned that Mort had not been present at the time of the incident, they became suspicious of her.

The very same night of the questioning, Mort is said to have Googled: “How long is a prison sentence if I own up to covering up for someone.”

Inquiries found that she had also searched, ‘covering for someone who abuses their child’.

Mort contacted the police a week later and confessed that she had lied about being in the room with the baby.

Mr Williamson said: “She admitted her previous assertion that she was present at the time was false. She said she had panicked when giving her first account.”

Her defence counsel Richard Flook explained that she had ‘panicked’, stating: “No significant mischief that has been caused by her lie. She was at the hospital at the time she first said these things. She panicked and took the lead and got herself in a position where she couldn’t get out of it.

“When it was raised he said differently, she corrected this and went to the police of her own volition and told them she had lied. She’s well aware that there is a risk of custodial sentence. She’s very polite and very understanding and has shown genuine remorse and regret.

“It’s been a very difficult time for her. She is struggling with anxiety and there are significant mental health considerations to take into account.

“At the time she failed to comprehend the seriousness of her actions. She is at a low risk of reoffending.”

In sentencing, Judge Neil Usher told Mort: “In lying, you ran the risk that appropriate medical treatment could have been denied or delayed to this baby because you didn’t tell the truth. But you have expressed remorse which is genuine. You do not pose a risk in my judgement.”

Mort was freed with 19-week imprisonment suspended for 12 months and ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work as well as ten rehabilitation requirement days.

Her friend was charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and is set to attend trial in March next year.

The baby has since been put into foster care.

Chilling audio reveals final moments of panic before private jet crashed into highway

The private jet ended up crashing on a Florida highway in an explosive fireball

The audio from the cockpit of a doomed private jet that crashed onto a Florida highway has been revealed, giving us an insight into the chilling final moments of those onboard.

On February 9 of this year, a private plane attempted to make an emergency landing on the I-75, a busy highway in Florida, but in doing so it crashed and struck vehicles, killing two people onboard.

The three others onboard the Bombardier Challenger 600, which was heading for Naples Municipal Airport, FL, thankfully survived.

It was confirmed that a person who was driving in a car on the highway was also injured in the crash.

Police later confirmed in a social media post that the deaths were that of the two pilots – Edward Daniel Murphy, 50, of Oakland Park, Florida; and second in command Ian Frederick Hofmann, 65, of Pompano Beach, Florida.

They also identified the other occupants as Sydney Ann Bosmans, Aaron Baker and Audra Green, who were witnessed sprinting from the burning wreckage.

They were all transported to a local hospital for treatment for their injuries.

Seconds before the disaster, which saw the plane lose both engines, air traffic control was able to capture the panic and fear from the pilots as they described the dire situation.

“Okay, ah, Challenger, ah, Hop-A-Jet 823, lost both engines, emergency, I’m making an emergency landing,” one of the pilots can be heard saying.

Air traffic control told colleagues he had an emergency, and informed the pilot he was clear to land runway 23.

However, the pilot made it clear they didn’t believe they would make the runway and said: “Uh, we’re cleared to land but we’re not going to make the runway. We’ve lost both engines.”

Richard Collins, a pilot who lives close to the interstate and heard the crash, spoke to local media about the incident.

“It was a loud thud, it was a unique thud, nothing like you had heard before. It wasn’t an explosion or anything like that” he said.

Police later confirmed in a social media post that the only deaths were that of the two pilots. (FOX 13)

“The best way to describe it is a sudden impact in the earth and a thud.”

Collins spoke about what he believes the pilots were thinking just before the crash as they would have realized their plane had no working engines and that they were too far away from their destination.

“You don’t think about yourself, you think about getting the plane to the ground safely but first and foremost what is the safest place for me and secondary to that is what is the safest place for me,” he explained.

“They certainly did a right thing in my mind to save a whole lot of people and I think they deserve kudos for that.”

Chilling CCTV footage shows father moments after he allegedly killed his 22 year-old son

David Contreras allegedly murdered his son

CCTV footage shows the moments after a father allegedly murdered his own son.

22-year-old Eric Contreras died after being fatally shot in November 2023, and his father is the person accused of his murder.

David Contreras is facing charges of second-degree murder and was arrested on the day of his son’s death.

The 52-year-old was in court on Thursday (February 22) as he seeks to be released on bond ahead of his trial.

During the proceedings, the 911 call he made following his son’s death was revealed, and broke down in tears hearing it back.

“What did I do?” Contreras was heard saying in the call. “I was fighting with my son… I lost it, he wouldn’t stop.”

Elsewhere, NBC 6 South Florida obtained footage of the moments following Eric’s death.

Taken on a doorbell camera, Contreras’ wife is heard asking if Eric is alive and breathing, to which the dad replies: “He’s not breathing, he’s dead.”

“Why, David? Why?” his wife goes on to ask.

Contreras continued to explain that the arguing between him and his son became ‘unbearable’.

David Contreras was arrested last year after being accused of fatally shooting his son.

Miami-Dade Corrections

He went on to break down in tears as he asks his wife to find his brother for him.

Police bodycam footage of Contreras’ arrest has also been shared, where the crying father admits to shooting his son.

According to friends of the family, they were all on a trip to Disney World, Orlando, but, as a result of Eric’s behavior, he and his dad drove back home to Kendall.

Their argument then escalated and turned fatal.

Contreras is said to have shot his son multiple times for ‘unknown reasons’ before calling the police. Eric was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s believed that this wasn’t the first time Contreras threatened to shoot Eric.

According to police, in May 2023 he shot at the ceiling and in the days running up to Eric’s death, Contreras had pointed a gun at him.

Eric Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family Handout

According to one of Contreras’ attorneys, his son struggled with his mental health.

“This is just a very tragic situation. He is distraught,” he said of his client, as per NBC 6.

“The victim is the son of the defendant, and the victim has suffered from some severe emotional and mental conditions, and we’re still trying to determine what happened, why it happened.”

The 52-year-old entered a not guilty plea back in November, and he’s since been held without bond.

Reportedly, prosecutors want Contreras to stay in jail, but his attorneys hope he can go home to await trail.

But a judge ruled that he would continue to be held without bond until his next court appearance – which is set for March 11, according to court records.

Ex-hitman who murdered 39 people reveals the chilling reason he became a killer for hire

Former hitman Daniel AKA ‘45’ has spoken out about his life and why he became a killer for hire

An ex-hitman who murdered 39 drug dealers revealed the reason he became a hireable killer.

Daniel AKA ‘45’ is a former hitman from Pompano Beach, Florida, and last year in a tell-all interview he revealed how he found himself in that position.

Speaking with Soft White Underbelly in 2023, Daniel said growing up, his mother was an alcoholic and his father was a gangster who was ex-military.

He revealed that when he was just eight-years-old, he shot his grandfather by accident when a prank went wrong, resulting in him being sent to an ‘orphans home’ in New York.

He said that he met Mike Tyson in the orphan home, but he wasn’t the character you would have expected.

Daniel said: “We all just used to pick on him, we would call him names, and he used to fight everybody. And then later on in life he became famous as Mike Tyson.”

He also said that prior to joining a life of criminality, he wanted to own a plumbing and roofing company.

After leaving the orphanage at 10-years-old and moving in with his sister in Jacksonville, he became heavily involved with her husband’s drug gang until he was 16.

Daniel said: “They would go on big killing sprees where they would just kill people. That led me down the wrong path, it led me into thinking it was okay when it wasn’t okay.

“I thought it was cool to kill people.”

Daniel then admitted that he’s killed a total of 39 people – the majority of whom were drug dealers – and explained how the hitman process works, saying the client always had to pay half of the money upfront.

Daniel is now 52, but spent 29 years of his life in prison after being convicted of six murders.

Because of this, he spent 15 years on Death Row in Florida, before the supreme court overturned his convictions.

After changing his life around, he said that he has now ‘given his life to God’.

He added: “I used to have nightmares and then I became a changed man. It haunted me every day of my life.

“When you’re uneducated, when you were raised wrong and taught wrong, as you grow in life and you educate yourself, you begin to do what is right.

“And that’s what happened to me.”

Daniel said he has now been out of prison for two years, and upon changing his life, people have really ‘understood’ him.
