 Ingredients:
For the cake:
• 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 2 ½ tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• ¾ cup whole milk
• ¼ cup brewed coffee, cooled
• ⅓ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

For the coffee buttercream:
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 3 cups powdered sugar
• 2 tbsp brewed coffee, cooled
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt
For the caramel drizzle:
• ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
 Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Cream butter and sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Alternate adding wet and dry: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk and brewed coffee. Mix until just combined.
5. Bake the cakes: Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely.
6. Prepare the coffee buttercream: In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, brewed coffee, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until light and fluffy.
7. Assemble the cake: Spread a layer of coffee buttercream on top of one of the cakes. Drizzle with caramel sauce, then place the second cake layer on top. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining coffee buttercream.
8. Finish with caramel drizzle: Drizzle the top of the cake with more caramel sauce for an extra touch of sweetness.
