4 large eggs
¾ cup whole milk
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

8 slices of thick-cut bread (preferably brioche or challah)
2 tablespoons butter (for cooking)
Maple syrup (for serving)
Powdered sugar (optional, for garnish)

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
Dip the Bread:
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, soaking both sides for about 5-10 seconds.
Cook the French Toast:
Place the soaked bread slices onto the heated skillet.
Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
Add more butter to the skillet as needed for each batch.
