1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
24 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions :
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
In another mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Pour the cheesecake batter over the prepared crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
In a separate bowl, mix together shredded coconut, chopped pecans, and semisweet chocolate chips.
Sprinkle the coconut-pecan-chocolate mixture evenly over the top of the cheesecake batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
While the cheesecake is cooling, prepare the chocolate frosting. In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
Once cooled, spread the chocolate frosting evenly over the top of the cheesecake.
Refrigerate the German Chocolate Cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.
Get ready to enjoy the luxurious flavors of this German Chocolate Cheesecake!
