Chocolate Strawberry Parfait
Layered Chocolate Strawberry Parfait with Whipped Cream
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups chocolate pudding, homemade or store-bought
1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 cup granola or crushed chocolate cookies
1 cup whipped cream, homemade or store-bought
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
If using homemade chocolate pudding, prepare it according to your recipe and let it cool.
Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries.
If making homemade whipped cream, beat the heavy cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
Assemble the Parfaits:
In clear serving glasses or jars, layer 2 tablespoons of chocolate pudding at the bottom.
Add a layer of sliced strawberries, followed by a layer of granola or crushed cookies.
Repeat the layers, adding more pudding, strawberries, and granola.
Top each parfait with a dollop of whipped cream.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with a fresh strawberry slice or mint leaf if desired.
Serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving for a chilled treat.
