Cherry Cheesecake Lush
Ingredients:
For the crust:
– 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the cheesecake layer:
– 16 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 2 cups whipped topping
For the cherry layer:
– 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
For the topping:
– 2 cups whipped topping
– 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (for garnish)
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust. Refrigerate while preparing the next layer.
2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
3. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the cheesecake layer.
4. Top with the remaining whipped topping, spreading it evenly over the cherry layer.
5. Garnish with graham cracker crumbs. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set.
