Fried Bologna Sandwich

Fried Bologna Sandwich 🥪🍳

Ingredients:

– 4 slices of bologna
– 2 tbsp unsalted butter
– 4 slices of white or wheat bread
– 2 tbsp mayonnaise
– 2 tbsp yellow mustard
– 4 slices of American cheese
– 4 slices of tomato (optional)
– Lettuce leaves (optional)
– Pickles (optional)

Instructions:

1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

2. Place the bologna slices in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and slightly crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3. Melt the remaining tablespoon of butter in the skillet. Add the bread slices and toast them until golden brown on one side. Remove from the skillet.

4. Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the untoasted sides of the bread slices.

5. Place a slice of American cheese on top of the mayonnaise and mustard on each slice of bread.

6. Add the fried bologna on top of the cheese.

7. If using, add tomato slices, lettuce leaves, and pickles on top of the bologna.

8. Close the sandwiches with the remaining bread slices, toasted side out.

9. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes:
1. Customize your sandwich with additional toppings like onions, jalapeños, or your favorite condiments.
2. Use different types of cheese for variety, such as cheddar or Swiss.
