On Wednesday (4 June), Meghan Markle publicly wished her daughter Lilibet, who turned four today, a happy birthday on social media.

The adorable tribute included previously unseen pictures of the Duchess of Sussex, 43, with the little one, including a sweet black and white snap where she’s cradling her youngest on a boat.

But, as to be expected like any time Meghan uploads, conspiracy theorists and trolls jumped on the chance to share their wild theories.

The Duchess has been sharing frequent insights into she and Prince Harry‘s picture perfect family life since 1 January, when she returned to social media following a four-year break.

In doing so, however, Meghan has caused ceaseless stirs amid critical online communities that seem committed to picking up on and pointing out her every alleged mistake – hence why she’s sadly had to turn off her comments on Instagram.

From claiming the children are not actually ‘real’ because their hair colour looks different in different lights to claiming that Meghan ‘photoshopped Archie’s toes,’ the speculation has taken a bizarre turn.

And Meghan’s most recent post seems to be no different, with people on social media pointing out an ‘edited’ detail in the birthday tribute.

One X user seemed to fuel the insane conspiracy that the children are not actually Meghan and Harry’s, boldly writing: “Black and white photos as this time could not get a girl with ginger hair.”

Another joined in, penning: “Which version of Lilibet is this? This version has fine, straight, blonde hair. And look who is dominating the photo…”

A third wrote: “Always monochrome. Is that easier to retouch? YES.”

With a fourth adding: “The upper body of that kid doesn’t look proportional. But maybe it’s just me trying to detect AI.”

Other trolls wrote: “Whose kid has she borrowed this time?” and “What a happy looking child..whoever’s it is.”

Unfortunately, it’s not the first time Meghan has faced bizarre accusations like these, with another recent post fuelling the narrative.

Earlier this month, for example, a Mother’s Day post descended into chaos, with conspiracy theorists accusing Meghan of photoshopping her son’s toes.

The same image also sparked claims that the apparent darkening of the children’s hair indicated they weren’t the ‘real’ Archie and Lilibet after all.

“Where is Archie’s and Lili’s red hair this week Meghan Markle?” hit out one internet troll who clearly was perplexed by the concept of hair changing colour on camera depending on whether you’re in the shade or the beaming sun.

A second chimed in: “Her hair changed colour.”

“Different hair colour too,” quipped a third, while a fourth echoed: “Their hair is dark now too.”

And another questioned: “And what about Archie’s hair?”

“Coarse, thick, curly and red… to black and dead straight.”

Despite the relentless claims, if social media is anything to go by, the family seem to be thriving since making the move overseas.

The mother-of-two and Prince Harry, 40, tied the knot in 2018 before welcoming their first child Prince Archie, now six, a year later, before their daughter came along.

And for those who aren’t up to speed, in 2020 the couple stepped back from their Royal duties and moved to California – Meghan’s home state. 

The Duke of Sussex is seemingly starting where he means to go on with regards to his and Meghan Markle’s supposed ‘professional separation’, having now travelled solo overseas.

Prince Harry landed in China yesterday (26 May) – which just so happens to be the same day his estranged father King Charles III touches down in Canada for his own state visit.

The trip comes just hours after another major move was announced for the couple, again hinting at Harry and Meghan going their separate ways when it comes to their work-based endeavours.

GB News reported yesterday that the Sussexes were in the midst of building their own ‘royal’ household structure, having each hired their own chief of staff and a full-fledged team to work for them.

The move has been viewed as somewhat of a surprise, as it’ll see their household ran in a way that resembles that of other members of the monarchy, like King Charles and Camilla, and Prince William and Kate Middleton.

According to the news outlet, Harry has opted for Miranda Barbot to run his brigade. Barbot worked previously as a political and media adviser, and someone who famously assisted with former POTUS Barack Obama’s re-election in 2012.

She’s said to be helping the Prince with running an incoming commercial venture – though, very little is known about this project so far.

Meghan, meanwhile, is said to have hired the former aid of Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, Sarah Fosmo, to take care of her affairs.

Fosmo is said to have been handed the responsibility of supporting the former Suits actress’ new lifestyle brand, As Ever, as well as overseeing the production of the second series of her self-fronted Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.

Communications strategist Meredith Kendall Maines is also said to have been hired to handle the split household’s newly-hired 11 staff members, who’ll be operating out of both Montecito, California – where the couple now reside – and Harry’s home-country, the UK.

The move is believed to form part of the pair’s plan to ‘professionally separate’ – a term first used in late last year to describe Harry and Meghan’s plans to focus on their own ventures, rather than embarking on everything as a couple.

The first item in the pair’s new ‘strategy’ initially saw the Sussexes take on joint tours in 2024 – to the likes of Colombia and Nigeria – before the second item on the list saw them ‘focus on building their individual brands in the States, rather than pursuing power couple status’.

And with that in mind, as we say, Harry landed in China today for this first solo mission abroad since their ‘professional separation first hit headlines’, attending the Envision 2025 Global Partner Conference in Shanghai.

There, the father-of-two – who recently became a co-founder of Travalyst, a firm that promotes environmentally friendly travel – is said to have given a speech discussing the importance of sustainable holidaying.

Harry is said to have kicked off the conversation by emphasising the travel industry’s responsibility to hit its climate change targets before 2030 – including by assisting with limiting global warming to 1.5°C, and ensuring that greenhouse gas emissions peak before 2025.

“Climate change isn’t just an environmental challenge,” he began, as per The Sun. “It’s a critical business emergency, costing the global economy $143 billion dollars annually.

“Now is the moment for the industry to reaffirm its commitment to being a force for good. Challenges will undoubtedly rise, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my life, it’s that meaningful change never comes easily.”

The Prince continued: “The true measure of our commitment is how we respond when the path becomes difficult.

“We must never give up.”

A group of American Airlines flight attendants were utterly blindsided when the Duchess of Sussex rocked up for a commercial flight last week, and they were even more blown away when she replied to their handwritten note.

Meghan was supposedly travelling from New York in recent days, where she was served by NYC local and cabin crew member Nina Vida.

I know what you’re thinking – great name.

Anyway, Vida and her colleagues had no idea that the former Suits actress had planned to fly with their airline last week, with the lead flight attendant documenting her experience on TikTok.

“You guys will not believe who I just had on my flight, who I had the pleasure of serving!” Vida told her social media followers in an exciting new upload. “The Queen, the princess, the Duchess of Sussex! THE Meghan Markle was on my flight.

“And she is so beautiful in person, she was so sweet.”

Vida revealed that she and her co-workers came up with the idea of delivering the mother-of-two with a handwritten note during the journey, aware of Meghan‘s passion for personalised notes.

Just last week, the Duchess went viral for giving her fans a glimpse at a handful of intimate notes she’d penned to her husband, Prince Harry, in celebration of the pair’s seventh wedding anniversary – aww!

Following in the royal’s footsteps, Vida revealed that she and her staff left Meghan a note, reading: “It’s a pleasure serving you, we love you real bad.”

She went on to claim they signed the letter: “AA girlies.”

And to Vida’s surprise, ‘She wrote us a little handwritten note back!’.

In her TikTok – where she can be seen still donning her cabin crew uniform, she shared a first look at the handwritten note with her followers before reading the contents out loud.

“Dear AA girlies, thank you for the love, hospitality and handwritten note – you know me well,” 43-year-old Meghan had reportedly replied.

“All love right back to you.”

The Duchess even signed off the note by giving a special shout-out to her new lifestyle brand, As Ever, along with her Netflix series of the same name, writing, ‘As ever, Meghan’, at the bottom.

Despite appearing unable to contain her excitement in the clip, Vida—who boasts over 1,000 followers on the video-sharing app—did go on to admit she could ‘barely read’ Meghan’s super cursive font.

“This handwriting is giving rich! It’s giving expensive, it’s giving princess,” the social media star continued.

Vida also revealed that the royal had complimented her nails during the flight, despite her captain previously telling her they were rather ‘intense’.

“She also said she loved my nails!” the flight attendant gushed.

Fans of Vida couldn’t help but rush to the comments to admit their envy, with one joking: “That note!!! Laminate it, frame it, put it in a lock box at the bank! I would cherish it forever!”

Another went on: “Ahh lovely story. Always such nice feedback from people who meet her in person. Meghan is a true princess.”

Bosses at Meta have issued a formal apology to Meghan Markle, after a technical error on Instagram cast a shadow over her recent Netflix series announcement.

The fault was first flagged by Meghan‘s fan-base, who criticised the photo-sharing app for their colossal mistake.

For those out of the loop with the 43-year-old’s latest news, Meghan made a shock return to social media following a three year break.

With a new handle @meghan, the mother-of-two kicked off the New Year by sharing a video of herself – filmed by husband Prince Harry – running along a California beach, before penning the digits ‘2025’ into the sand, hinting at an exciting 12 months to come.

And it didn’t take long for the former Suits actress to make her first major announcement of the year, revealing she was set to front her very own Netflix lifestyle series.

Titled With Love, Meghan, the show claims it’ll give viewers a chance to ‘join Meghan in the kitchen, garden — and even at the beehive’, and features celebrity guests like Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, Alice Waters, and more.

The incoming series was announced with an exciting new trailer, posted directly to the Duchess’ new account.

“I have been so excited to share this with you!” she captioned the post. “I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it.

“Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix.

Sadly, however, according to reports, the Duchess’ announcement didn’t go entirely as planned, with Instagram having accidentally restricted searches for the hashtag ‘#WithLoveMeghan’.

After the Duchess’ fans pointed out that searches had been blocked due to ‘sensitive content’, the social media site – owned by Meta, which is also the Facebook boss – were quick to correct it.

Issuing an apology, the tech firm have since explained: “We blocked people’s ability to search for terms related to potential child safety risks.

“In this case, the search term #WithLoveMeghan was restricted in error and has now been corrected.”

The Duchess’ trailer has also prompted royal discussion in other ways, with one commentator believing that 40-year-old Harry’s lack of presence in the clip is a sign of what is to come for the couple, amid their rumoured ‘professional separation’.

An insider source told Hello a few months back: “Harry and Meghan have consistently pursued solo ventures in connection with their individual interests, but remain deeply committed to their joint efforts through Archewell [their joint charity, formed in 2020].

And last week, royal expert Grant Harrold – who spoke to Tyla on behalf of Slingo – explained that Harry’s decision to allow Meghan to take centre-stage in the streaming service production was likely conscious.

“This is the way to do things, if they want to do media and television,” Grant firstly gushed.

“Harry appears briefly, and I think it would be a bit weird if he didn’t, but this might show that he is taking a step back from them as a couple work wise and focusing on his own projects while Meghan is working on her own brand.”
