Donald Trump sparks another conspiracy theory about assassination attempt after internet sleuths spot major ‘clue’

Another day, another conspiracy theory about Donald Trump.

There have previously been bizarre claims that Melania Trump has been replaced by a ‘body double’, and others have insisted that Trump has one too.

Internet sleuths have been examining new pictures of the president, and comparing them to older photos taken before the highly-documented assassination attempt which saw a bullet clip his ear.

It comes days after Trump was pictured wearing one of his trademark red MAGA hats, with his ear seemingly all healed.

He admitted to press he still feels a ‘throbbing feeling every once in a while’ in his ear.

The Republican had been speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania in July last year when a gunman climbed the roof of a nearby building and opened fire, killing one supporter who was seated behind Trump, and critically injuring two others.

The shooter was identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who shot at Trump with an AR-15-style rifle.

Crooks was shot and killed by a member of the US Secret Service, who also rushed to protect Trump.

Now, wannabe detectives have been looking for so-called ‘clues’ online that not everything is as it seems.

Users on X have been sharing snaps of Trump’s ear, before and after the shooting.

They are claiming the ‘clue’ is the alleged ‘proof’ that the assassination attempt was ‘faked’, as they believe pictures show there is ‘no damage’ to the cartilage of his ear, where Trump was reportedly struck by a bullet.

“Ear cartilage generally does NOT regrow,” wrote one user, along with some before and after pics showing the president’s ear.

“Likely the biggest scam ever,” accused another.

However, some X users came to the president’s defence.

“It does and the bullet graze barely broke the skin. But you knew that,” wrote one.

A second insisted: “Y’all realise he’s a billionaire right? You don’t think the world’s best plastic surgeons can repair an ear?”

At the time, former White House physician Ronny Jackson said of Trump’s wound: “There was initially significant bleeding, followed by marked swelling of the entire upper ear.

“The swelling has since resolved, and the wound is beginning to granulate and heal properly.

“Based on the highly vascular nature of the ear, there is still intermittent bleeding requiring a dressing to be in place. Given the broad and blunt nature of the wound itself, no sutures were required.”

Another social media user said the conspiracy theory had been debunked.

They penned: “I am not a Trump supporter. I am staunchly anti-Trump. However I’m also against ridiculous conspiracy theories…

“The FBI which was under Biden’s control at the time confirmed there was an injury. Medical professionals during the time confirmed that repairing his ear would not be hard and could be made to look normal.”

The social media user added: “The ear is full of blood vessels… there is going to be a lot of blood. The streaks of blood on his face are not from the bullet/shrapnel… whichever hit him I don’t care… something did… but those streaks happened when he went to the ground because he had to tip his head downwards which caused the blood to fall onto his face.”

Addressing recent pictures, they insisted a difference can be seen: “You can see the fact that there is a gap in the helix of the ear as it curves down.”

Meanwhile, someone else noted: “Cartilage implant reconstructive surgery has been around for decades. Today they can grow a new ear in a lab.”

Donald Trump sparks bizarre ‘body double’ conspiracy during NATO appearance as people spot ‘unusual detail’

Social media theorists are back at it again – and this time, they’re convinced the American President is using a body double

Donald Trump is no stranger to a conspiracy theory, and it seems like each week, the internet thinks up a new wild claim about the American President.

However, the latest theory to sweep social media may be the craziest one yet – and it’s bringing back the idea of a body double, so buckle in.

It comes after Trump’s wife Melania has been the centre of a years-long outlandish conspiracy that she gets ‘swapped out for a body double’ for public appearances.

Online sleuths claim an ‘actress’ was hired to play the 55-year-old during some official engagements because she no longer wishes to be seen in the open with her other-half, while others believe she’s been ‘swapped out’ for safety reasons.

Wearing large sunglasses to hide her face and claims of changes in physical appearance are just some of the reasons the ‘fake Melania’ conspirators have pulled together.

And now, it seems her other half is now on their radar too.

On Tuesday (24 June) Trump attended a NATO summit in The Hague, alongside other world leaders.

Before sitting down for a formal dinner, the attendees gathered for a big group photo with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. But eagle-eyed social media users have spotted an unusual detail when it comes to the American President’s appearance in the snap.

Someone on X (formerly Twitter) pointed out that Trump looks shorter than usual and sparked the theory that a body double, or ‘mini Trump,’ had been sent in his place.

Yes, you read that right.

The social media user penned: “POTUS sends ‘mini-TRUMP’ to The Hague to meet ‘suited’ Zelenskyy & friends” – and some of the replies already seem to be convinced.

Someone wrote: “That… that is not Trump,” with another agreeing: “I’ve never seen him smile like that”.

Delving deep into the bizarre conspiracy, another person chimed in with: “He’s only 3” shorter than DJT.”

They added: “If they didn’t want it to be obvious to us (and to whoever was planning on trying to take him out at the NATO meeting), they would’ve had him wear lifts… and they would’ve probably been looking for another body double now.”

“It is really easy to dig into if people only took the time to check it out…,” quipped another believer.

Someone else tweeted: “It’s funny you posted this. When I saw a video from earlier today I was wondering why he was so much shorter.”

And another wrote: “I had just watched the video and it was immediately obvious.”

However, of course, not everyone is on board with the odd sentiment, and others have flocked to the post to shut down the theory.

One person pointed out that ‘he’s standing next to tall dudes’, as the Netherlands monarch to his right and other leaders in the picture are known to be quite tall.

“I think he just looks short here because the King of the Netherlands is 6’5. Let’s not get carried away,” reasoned someone else.

Donald Trump ‘body double’ conspiracy rages on as people spot yet another ‘detail’ in world leaders photo

The 79-year-old’s appearance at the NATO summit earlier this week has sparked a load of speculation online

Rhiannon Ingle

The whole Donald Trump ‘body double’ conspiracy theory doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon, as people are now convinced they’ve spotted yet another ‘detail’ in the NATO summit photo.

On Tuesday (24 June), world leaders from 32 countries – including the US President, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy – gathered in The Hague in the Netherlands for the NATO summit.

While Queen Máxima of the Netherlands clearly stood out due to her lime-green jumpsuit ensemble, it’s clear that she wasn’t the only person in the group snap to catch the attention of people online.

Now, for context, some internet sleuths were totally convinced that Trump looked shorter than usual, sparking the theory that a body double, or a ‘mini Trump’ had been sent in his place.

Yes, you read that right.

And the theory is clearly still raging on after social media users pointed out the closeness in Trump’s height with Queen Máxima – who is reportedly 5’8″.

Likewise, Trump appears to be shorter than King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands who is reportedly 6’2″.

Bare in mind that, according to the White House, the 79-year-old Republican is 6’3″ and 224 pounds – at least, that’s what his official medical exam states.

“Tiny hands Trump said he was 6’3″,” penned one X user.

Another chimed in: “Is the Queen taller? I believe she is.”

“Trump looks to be the same size as the Queen of the Netherlands,” echoed a third.

Now, while it’s very possible that the pair look to be around the same height due to Queen Máxima wearing high heels at the summit, it’s clear it’s not stopped the online conspiracists from doing their thing.

Such individuals may be shocked to find out that a security expert has shut down the Trump ‘body double’ conspiracy theory.

Will Geddes, who over 30 years experience in the Specialist Security sector, explained that the only time that decoys and body doubles would be used is for ‘journey management’, which simply means when a high profile figure is moving from one location to another.

Will clarified: “The reason why you would utilise a decoy is if you feel that security could be possibly compromised.

“So, if you’re moving through a high risk environment or you’re at a particularly high level of threat and you want to make sure that you are confusing the potential enemy.”

However, Will revealed that when attending something as high profile as the NATO summit, where Trump would be interacting with other leaders, a body double would ‘never ever be used’.

The expert explained: “So for Donald Trump, at something like the NATO summit, he would never ever utilise a body double.

“All of the people that he meets with, or at any event where there’s going to be people that know him, they would spot it in a second.

“As much as we love films like Face Off and Mission Impossible, it’s impossible to pull that off.”

He added that if Trump were to try such a move at something like a NATO meeting, his ‘credibility would be shocked to hell if it was discovered a decoy had turned up in his place’,

Albeit not as exciting as a body double, the security expert explained that the most likely scenario for the Republican leader’s shorter appearance is simply the angle of the camera.

Will said: “You know, he is tall, but it all comes down to the framing of the picture and how the footage has been taken.

“So it could have been taken from a higher aspect by either someone in a location which is above, or maybe they’re particularly tall themselves, or they’re holding the camera above their hair to get over a crowd to look at a particular principle – and that can give you an inaccurate representation of height.”

Well, that settles that then.

Matt Gaetz’s leaked texts criticising Trump’s Iran strikes spark major conspiracy theory after people spot issue with font

Matt Gaetz’s leaked texts criticising US president Donald Trump’s Iran strikes have sparked a major conspiracy theory after people called out one issue with the font.

Over the weekend, the US launched strategic airstrikes on three major Iranian nuclear sites – Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan – which Trump hailed as a ‘spectacular military success’.

He also claimed the facilities were ‘completely obliterated’, however, US intelligence assessments later suggested the damage likely delayed Iran’s nuclear activities by only a few months, not wiped them out.

Iran responded by launching missiles at US and Israeli targets, including an airbase in Qatar.

A video posted by ‘momfluencer’ TikToker @tidesofmarch earlier this week, which has since amassed over 2.1 million views, sees Gaetz’s texts with a contact named ‘Mom’, filmed by someone sitting behind him on a plane.

“Don’t be criticising the President or his actions. He’s trying to keep us safe. That’s his job. MAGA will turn on you. You will lose viewership. Your days in congress are over. Practice of law? Let’s not mess up the media gig,” Gaetz’s mum, Victoria, wrote.

“The president has been a very good friend to you. He hates betrayal. Be smart, not stubborn.”

Responding to the message, Gaetz – a Trump ally who was briefly the president’s choice for attorney general – insisted he was ‘trying to guide him, not criticise him’, adding: “But I’ve never been freer to share my views – and I’ll continue to do so.”

He then said that he thinks ‘about the people who cheerled the Iraq war’ because they liked President George W. Bush, claiming that they now ‘have blood on their hands’ prompting his mother to once again warn him about crossing Trump publicly.

“Don’t guide him in the public square. He has intelligence and briefing[s] you are not [privy] to,” she warned.

Gaetz then lamented that he had felt ‘deep shame that [he] failed’ to sway the 79-year-old Republican personally despite talking to him ‘constantly’.

“How many times do you want to hit the wall?” Victoria responded as Gaetz replied: “I’m a happily married man with a son on the way, two penthouse condos, a 1:1 real estate asset to debt ratio.

“And $500k in my bank account cash. I guess I’ll keep hitting it till I die.”

At one point in the back-and-forth text exchange, Victoria claimed that Iran ‘would have gotten nuclear weapons and delivery systems’ if left ‘unchecked’ because no other president would stop them, leading Gaetz to push back, insisting that Tehran wasn’t close to developing a bomb.

“Iran has been 3 months away from a nuke since 1992. They had surrendered their ICBM program in 2003. They have done no R&D on re-entry capability. These are facts,” he stated. “By your logic, should we bomb North Korea? Also, wasn’t Saddam on his way to getting nukes? How did that work out?”

After Victoria doubled down, saying that he identified more with Barack Obama’s presidency, Gaetz claimed that ‘Obama doubled down on the Afghanistan war’ and was ‘way more pro-war than’ Trump.

“Trump hopes this is like Solimani[sic]. So do I. But there is a chance it isn’t,” he continued as his mother replied: “This is Grump’s [sic] Reagan moment. I hope it works out. I feel safer.”

“Remember. These wars are always popular at first. But history turns,” Gaetz concluded.

Gaetz later took to X on Tuesday (24 June) to issue a statement on the matter following the release of the now-viral TikTok.

He penned: “Apparently someone sitting behind me on a flight recorded me without my knowledge.

“They found me texting my mother about news of the day, family finances, and working on my laptop.

“Please let this be a reminder to everyone to CALL YOUR MOTHER! (and maybe get a screen protector).”

However, it’s clear many were skeptical that the leaked text message thread was an honest error with many pointing to the large font as ‘evidence’ that the whole thing was a ‘stunt’.

One X user declared: “Smells like a stunt.”

A second claimed: “Bro definitely wanted this to get leaked even my grandpa doesn’t have his font size that big.”

Another added: “I’ve seen those ‘leaked’ screen shots. Weird how you, a guy with no eye problems, had the font so big it took up the whole screen and held the phone at the perfect angle for whoever was behind you to take the pics.

“Weird this happened right as you were taking heat and getting exposed as not being America First and were actively stabbing the president in the back. Weird. Really weird.”

And a final X user questioned: “Nothing wrong with texting mom. But I’m worried about the font size on your phone,” prompting Gaetz to respond: “Now you know. My eyesight has gotten very poor in recent years”

Tyla has reached out to Matt Gaetz for further comment.

People spot Donald Trump regularly using two-word phrase and they’ve noticed a major issue with it

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has issued a statement after Trump was called out for the habit

Rhiannon Ingle

Donald Trump seems to have a whole bunch of catchphrases and go-to sayings.

From ‘Make America Great Again’ and ‘America First’ to ‘fake news’ and ‘loser’ – it’s clear the 79-year-old Republican is no stranger to a repeated phrase or two when it comes to his social media posts, press conferences, public appearances and everything else in between.

But, there’s another two-word phrase which Trump has opted for on a number of occasions now and people have noticed a pretty major issue with it.

One compilation video posted to X last week (19 June) by the Republicans Against Trump account saw the president give the answer of ‘two weeks’ several times when asked a series of questions by reporters.

One clip, from April, saw a reporter ask Trump whether he trusts Russian president Vladimir Putin, to which Trump vaguely replied: “I’ll let you know in about two weeks.”

Then, just last month, a second clip saw Trump being asked in the Oval Office whether he thought Putin wanted to end the war with Ukraine to which he said: “I can’t tell you that, but I’ll let you know in about two weeks.”

“It’s always “two weeks’,” the clip was captioned, pointing issue with Trump’s vague seemingly go-to response.

And one of the most recent instances of such a habit took place during a White House press briefing earlier this month.

White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, shared a statement after a reporter pointed out that ‘two weeks’ is often the unit of time Trump says when giving a response on deadlines.

The reporter specifically how the public and ‘be sure he’s going to stick to this one on making a decision on Iran‘.

Leavitt responding by saying that Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Iran are ‘two very different complicated global conflicts’ and took the opportunity, once again, to slam the previous Biden administration.

Leavitt claimed they brought about a ‘complete dereliction of duty on the world stage and American weakness’.

“With respect to Russia and Ukraine, because of that American strength and the President’s leadership, we have seen these two sides engage in direct negotiations,” she praised.

“And the last time the President said two weeks, you saw Russia and Ukraine have direct negotiations for the first time in years.

“And so, the President is always interested in a diplomatic solution to the problems and the global conflicts in this world.”

Leavitt then dubbed Trump as ‘peacemaker-in-chief’ and the ‘peace-through-strength President’, adding: “[…] if there’s a chance for diplomacy, the President’s always going to grab it.

“But he’s not afraid to use strength as well.”
